2025 WSSP Estoril, weekend
It was a challenging but constructive weekend here in Estoril. On Friday, we had some issues with the electronics and the gearing, which slowed us down a bit in the morning. In the afternoon, we focused on the bike’s set up and made some progress, even though there were still points to refine to get the right feeling. The times here were very close, and despite the difficulties, we weren’t too far off.
On Saturday, we did the warm up on used tyres, which gave us good information about tyre management for the race. My rhythm in the race was quite consistent, and I was able to stay with the group fighting for the points. However, the lack of acceleration made overtaking difficult, so I just focused on maintaining my pace and doing my best lap after lap.
On Sunday, the feeling with the bike in the warm up was better, although the tyre wear was quite high. Unfortunately, the final race set up didn’t go in the right direction, and I struggled to keep a consistent rhythm, especially after losing the slipstream ahead. I did what I could and brought the bike home to the finish.
