2025 WSSP Most, weekend

We knew heading into the weekend that the weather would play a big role, and Friday was a good example of that. The free practice started on a fully wet track and slowly dried up toward the end. I didn’t feel great on the bike at first, but by the time Superpole came around in similar conditions, I had adapted and was improving lap by lap. I even managed to set several laps inside the top 10, which was a promising sign. Unfortunately, when the track reached its driest point in the final minutes, I couldn’t make the most out of it. I was struggling to hold the line and couldn’t push for a faster time. We knew we had some work to do overnight to refine the bike’s setting and prepare for the race.

Saturday gave us our first chance to ride on a fully dry track, and the warm-up session helped us assess the bike’s behaviour. We were still dealing with some chattering and didn’t quite manage to fix it before the race. I had a good start, but then on the very first lap, two riders crashed and hit my bike. My front brake stopped working straight away, and I had to find a way to get it back to function while still riding. That incident cost me a lot of time, and I had to fight my way back from the rear of the field. In the end, it was more about salvaging the race and gathering data for Sunday.

On Sunday, we took the information from Saturday and tried to make another step forward. The warm-up was again in dry conditions, and while we made some tweaks, the feeling still wasn’t ideal. Still, I went into the race focused on making progress. I managed to gain positions and fight my way through a packed group. While we’re not where we want to be yet, it was important to finish the race strong and keep moving in the right direction.
