2025 WSSP Jerez, weekend
It was the last round of the season here in Jerez, and overall it turned out to be a positive weekend to wrap things up. On Friday, we faced some issues with strong vibration at the apex of the corners. We tried several adjustments in the afternoon, but the problem persisted. Still, we had a strong start in Superpole and managed to improve our lap times towards the end. I was aiming for a 1’42 high on my final lap, but unfortunately I crashed out. The good thing is that we collected useful information for the following days, including one of the fastest times in the second sector.
On Saturday, the warm up was focused on tyre management and checking durability. The team did a great job rebuilding the bike overnight after the crash, and in the race I was able to fight in the group leading up to the top ten in the early stages. I was struggling a bit in the fast corners, but I kept a steady pace and finished in the points, which was a decent result.
On Sunday, we made a small step forward in the warm up, improving both lap time and confidence. In the race, I had a good start, but lost several positions on the straight due to lack of power. Luckily, the chassis performance allowed me to recover some ground in the technical sections. I stayed consistent and once again finished in the points.
I’d like to thank Midori-san and the entire team for their hard work and dedication throughout the season. It wasn’t an easy year, but we kept pushing every race and learned a lot together. Thanks as well to everyone who supports and believes in me.
