2025 WSSP Aragón, weekend
Aragón was a demanding weekend overall. On Friday, we started with a long run to work on the engine performance and refine the overall feeling with the bike on this track. Toward the end of the session, we also tried a time attack to check our potential on a single lap. In Superpole, we used the first part of the session to adjust the set-up, and while the final position wasn’t as high as I had hoped, the lap time itself wasn’t too bad — just a little over one second off pole.
On Saturday, we confirmed our set-up direction during the warm up, even though the session was shortened by a red flag. In the race, I was able to keep a consistent pace close to the group ahead, but the lack of power on the straights made it difficult to overtake. Despite that, we collected useful data and kept pushing to make the most of what we had.
Sunday’s warm up was used to improve the feeling with the front, and I felt a bit more confident going into the race. I lost a couple of positions at the start but recovered them quickly, and I was part of the group fighting up to 12th place. I tried to move forward, but the front locked and that unfortunately ended my race.
We’ll regroup and try again in Estoril in two weeks’ time.
